Day 2 of Expo 2020: The Philippines Ambassador to U.A.E Visits Myanmar on Her Expo Tour
Ms. Hijayceelyn M. Quintana, the Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to the U.A.E, kicked off her tour to the ASEAN Member States at Expo 2020 Dubai at the Myanmar Pavilion on 2nd October 2021. Ms. Levi Sap Nei Thang, Deputy Commissioner General of the Myanmar Pavilion, hosted and accompanied her visit.
Ms. Levi delighted the Ambassador with the welcoming gift of her brand new perfumes which are the tribute to her Myanmar roots and traditions. Followed by the further explanation of Levi’s life story and inspiration behind sponsoring, organizing and accomplishing Myanmar Pavilion at the Expo 2020. They then went to the Pathein Traditional Umbrella Corner and photographed together.
Next up, Ms. Levi took on the ambassador through the briefing about Myanmar traditional costumes, gems, musical instruments, handcrafts and landscapes. “I feel very inspired by what you are doing for your people” said by the Ambassador to Ms. Levi for her humanitarian effort and representation of Myanmar at the Expo. She found it amazing to witness the cultural, racial and religious diversity of Myanmar people throughout the tour.
The tour was concluded at the souvenir corner when Ms. Levi handed over the Myanmar traditional hand-made cup and bracelet to the Ambassador. Continuing with the honor of having the first stamp on the Expo passport of the ambassador, Myanmar Pavilion extended their gratitude for this exceptional visit.
