Salvation

Salvation means deliverance or rescued from danger. We were in the bondages of the sin and the wages of sin was dead. God the Father send his only son to rescue us from the penalty of sin and to give us life. God created humanity and wanted to have an intimate relationship with Him when He placed both in the garden. Both Adam and Eve were so intimate with God but the venom of sin was injected in the same garden of Eden in the form of Satan through a snake. This brought the sin to the world making us permanently stained. God is holy and he can’t have an intimate relationship back again with sin inside human. To restore back the lost relationship in the garden, God has to do something to take away the consequence of sin.

Sin demanded sacrifices to free from bondages, peace and guilt. During the Old Testament times the High Priest has to offer the sin sacrifice by sacrificing birds or animals in our place. However these cant be a permanent solutions to get away with the sin for the whole human being. Sin demands a holy sacrifice of blood to take away the stain of sin completely. God had no other options other than to send his holy Son Jesus Christ as a ransom for the human sin to set us free from all the bondages of the world.

John 3:16 which is one of the key verse of the Bible says “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life. ... For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. Jesus took the human form and sacrificed Himself in the cross for all the sins of the world in the process of salvation. Through salvation we are saved from wrath that is, from God’s judgment of sin (Romans 5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9), saved from consequence of death due to sin. Scripture is clear that salvation is the gracious, undeserved gift of God (Ephesians 2:5, 8) and is only available through faith in Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12). When you believe Jesus Christ and accept him as your personal savior you are saved. A price has been payed through Jesus Christ in the salvation process to set us free. We have become His children through salvation.
