Programme for People and Planet: Expo 2020 Networking Event
As one of the first mega-events to take place since the beginning of the pandemic, Expo 2020 Dubai is important for the business community by representing unprecedented opportunities and many future possibilities. Thus saying so, networking events are a vital part of the Expo for SMEs and start-ups, as well as international organisations and government entities from across the world to come together.
On 28th September 2021, the official Commissioner General networking event was held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Business Connect Centre, Emma Building within the Expo compound. Ms. Levi Sap Nei Thang, Deputy Commissioner General of Myanmar Pavilion, attended the said event in accompany ofCommissioner General and Deputy Commissioner General from ASEAN Pavilion.
The event was exclusively invited to Commissioner Generals and Deputy Commissioner Generals and was catered with finger foods and drinks. Levi, proudly dressed in a gorgeous yellow Myanmar traditional costume, met and greeted many representatives and event attendees from different countries. As a highlight, she discussed Myanmar’s participation in the forthcoming Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan to be held from April to October 2025 with Mr. Isao Ando, Pavilion Director and Deputy Commissioner General of the Japan Pavilion.
“It is surreal to see us united in the same room again. Let’s make Expo 2020 a catalyst to connect,” said Commissioner General of Switzerland Pavilion, the host of this networking event. In fact, “connecting minds, creating the future” has become much more than a motto.
