Trusting God
We won’t trust someone we don’t know. If someone says trust me we have two reactions, either we have to say “Yes” or else “Why should I”. But when it comes to God, the main reason why we should trust God is: He is worthy of our trust. Numbers 23:19 says “God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?”
Many times we seek over to things or depend over men for all our emergency situations forgetting our Lord. But God expects us to look upon Him in all the situations in our life. Many times we are thinking and considering our problems as bigger than our God that He can’t intervene into our situation. We need to stop and get out of such thoughts from our life. There is nothing God can’t do.
Whenever we go through tough situations, just think of these lines written by Don Moen “God will make a way where there seems to be no way. He will do something new today”
Job trusted God in his hard times Book of Job is full of Job’s pain, affliction, anxiety and suffering. It was an unimaginable situation where he lost all his children’s, money, health, wealth and all his animals in one day. Still he never let God down. The more the pain he faced the more he started trusting God. He knows very well that God does everything for good. In Job 29:4 Job proclaims in faith “secret of God was upon my tabernacles”. This is powerful. Even though there are no signs of changes in his life physically, he is seeing in his spiritual eyes that God’s secret happening are taking place in my house. He will change everything for sure one day. His strong rooted faith moved God. In Job 42: 12, 13 “The Lord blessed the latter part of Job’s life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. And he also had seven sons and three daughters.” Job knew that God is greater than his situation. Job knows He is worthy to be trust. This is the truth that we are needed to learn. When looking into Job’s life it was like everything was finished but God made a new beginning for him. That is the blessing that God gives for his children who trust Him to the core. Do we trust God? God is ready to do anything for us but it needs the step of ours to believe him. God knows about our future, our needs and even our thoughts. Bible is full of faith heroes and they achieved everything with only one weapon faith. Faith moves mountain. No matter what your mountains may be God is ready to move it. Just relax and see the mighty works of God in your life by believing him. Amen.
